ComiKaze 2013 - Part 2

ComiKaze!!!

ComiKaze is like how Comic-Con was back in the early 90's. This is good because you will see it, as a fan, grow from what it is now, into a big pop culture expo. Unlike the densely populated cons, there is breathing space for cosplayers and photographers and other attendees checking out the show. I look forward to this show growing! It should be a fun ride!

ComiKaze 2013 - Part 1

It was my first time checking out Stan Lee's ComiKaze, over at the LA Convention Center. It's in its third year now, and, for a new con, it did a good job filling the LACC.

ComiKaze is NOT as packed as Anime-Expo, another convention that is held in the LACC, so, there is a lot of space to take more private shoots without being interrupted by other attendees. In some cases, this is good, in other cases, not so much.

Toys in Lil Tokyo!!

Toy photography is actually what got me into photography. Before that, I was just taking snap shots of cosplayers, random cosplayers, mostly at cons or events. Hanging out with a lot of photographers, my interest in photography was ignited even more. Having so many toys, it came naturally, but, another thing that got me was one of my friends, who made a comment about my collecting, "Ryan, you have so many cool things, you should do something with it." What he actually meant was actually stop motion animation, but, as you see, I went a slightly different route, for now.

Ninja Con - Part 4 and BEYOND!!!

WASSUP, Anime fans!!!

Ninja-Con was a blast! For a first year Con, the little con got a lot of coverage and the fans were out in droves! It was at such a great location and there was always something cool to do!

I'm really happy that they will be coming back next year! I can't wait!

Ninja Con - Part 3 At the Con!

WASSUP, Anime fans!!!

Ninja-Con's first year was pretty good! Because of the location and timing, it's a great kick-back con, and something of a pre-party con for the upcoming Anime-Expo. As I was stating in the previous post, the location is perfect, especially for otaku and photogs.
